Colossians 3:1-2

“If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.”

Keeping our heavenly focus can be challenging.

The key to an upward gaze is found in this passage in Colossians.

We have to set our minds on eternal things.

Have you ever stopped to think about what it is you spend your time thinking about?

Do you think about the things Christ is concerned about? Things pertaining to eternity? Are your thoughts fixed on earthly matters?

How about you conversations…do they include spiritual matters?

Here’s a question to use as a conversation starter; How’s your soul? This question points beyond surface responses from people that we regularly elicit.

Setting our minds on things above is a key determinant for where our feet will go, what our hands will do, and how our heart responds.

Dear friends, it has been said, mind your mind. Where your mind is fixed will indeed fix a lot of other things in your life.
