1 Corinthians 9:24
Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.
If we were all runners and entered a race together, how would we run that race?
Well, the answer to that question depends on whether or not you think you have a chance at winning the prize. A lot of people enter area 5k’s who never intend to win first, they just want to cross the finish line and for them, that is a win.
What if the stakes were high? What if the winner’s purse was grand? Would that change the way you trained and the attitude with which you entered the race?
Friend, this life is a race and we’re all entered in it.
We run with perseverance because the prize is grand, and it’s ours. Christ has secured it.
Show up.
Give it your all.
Don’t give up.
“Run in such a way as to get the prize.”
